E-commerce Integrations Engineer

Threesixfive is working with an exciting e-commerce technology company. Founded in 2019 in London, the company was started by 3 serial entrepreneurs passionate about ecommerce. Their mission? To make ecommerce integrations painless for the world’s best and fastest-growing brands.

Using their own proprietary platform and an incredible team, they now automate operational data for brands like Alessi, Represent Clothing, Adanola and New Era - to name just a few!

The company is experiencing impressive growth and are growing their team in order to be able to service their expanding client-base. A key role for their continued development is that of an E-commerce Integration Engineer.

What they're looking for?

 An Engineer in their remote team, building and supporting integrations on their proprietary platform for some of the world’s best retail brands. You’ll work on integration projects with Business Analysts and Senior Engineers to understand business integration requirements and bring them to life on the platform. You’ll then be responsible for supporting these integrations once they’re live through being the first-line responder in the support desk. You’ll have plenty of time to be a hands-on Engineer and become intimately familiar with the codebase.

Your Responsibilities

  • Inputting into technical decisions.

  • Helping to onboard new clients onto the HighCohesion platform, including writing new functionality when needed.

  • Owning pull and merge requests for any new integration requirements.

  • Communicating with your team on progress, blockers and opportunities.

  • Owning the support desk as a first-line responder.

  • Implementing and optimising unit and functional testing processes.

  • Balance speed and quality, with a focus on tangible results.

  • Help guide our overall strategy through design, prototyping, and market research.

  • Leading and advising on complex integration projects from scoping to release.

Your Qualifications

  • Solid experience as a software engineer - with recent ecommerce integrations experience with systems like Shopify, Netsuite and Peoplevox

  • Experience with various API types, REST, SOAP, GraphQL and different file types commonly used in integrations. CSV, XML, JSON.

  • Able to create and maintain stable ecommerce applications in PHP Symfony/Laravel using well-written, object-orientated code

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of how to use Docker to containerise PHP applications

  • Experience with microservice architectures

  • Knowledge of developing inside of serverless architecture

  • Good understanding of version control systems (such as GIT Repos)

  • Knowledge of best practice when working with large data sets and moving high volumes of data with minimum latency

  • Great verbal and written communicator and can write clear and concise documentation and keep it up-to-date

  • Can work across the software development lifecycle

  • Proven record of shipping features on time and on budget
